We have itty bitty babies

Remember Buster mentioned on his blog how Mommy got attacked by a bird that had a nest in our mailbox? Well guess what - she had babies in our mailbox!

Our mailbox has a little house built around it, and it has a hole in it. Daddy says a woodpecker pecked the hole there a few years ago.

Get up close and look inside and there they are!

When they were first born they were real quiet - but now they make a big racket all the time! Just like Buster!

The mailman has been real nice and leaving our mail on our front porch. Bussie thanks him by barking and barking when he drops it off.

Bussie says they are going to grow up to look like this bird, but I don't know if I believe him.

Fuzzy face sniffies,
Janie

Hi Janie. It's so cool that you were rescued! That place where you were must have been awful. I'm so glad that you are okay and learning how to be a dog. I'm so sorry that that all happened to you, you poor thing. Congrats on finding a great parent!

Hi Janie: Me and Teka know those baby birds are a big responsibilty form muzzer and daddy birds.

That is because when we play in our back yard, the doves who have a nest in the grapefruit tree dive bomb us to keep us away from their babies.

You must have very nice birds to let you take pictures of their babies.

We think they will grow up nicer than that poopy pigeon picture

Hi Janie
No wonder you like pink, you look soooofantabulous in it...I think Buster is pulling your leg, those baby birds won't grow up to be nasty, that's why they picked such a nice family to be born near...

Hey Jainie! Your baby birds are sure cute. I hope they don't grow up to poop on you!

I'm shy like you, even though nothing bad has ever happened to me- it's just the way I am. I wouldn't like going to a strange groomer either. Maybe your mom can learn to groom you herself. Dang- if only you lived close to us, my Human could show her how to do it.

Aren't those fireworks evil and scary? I shiver and shake, won't play or eat or nothin' when they are going on. Linda is afraid I will shake myself into a million zillion pieces. She is going to talk to my vet about meds to get me thru the summer storms and fireworks.

Hello and nice to meet you Janie! I didn't know that you have a blog until now. So sorry to hear what have happened to you. I am glad that you've met great parents and great brother! :)

Those birds are so cute. My mom's mom rescued a wild bird long ago.... This poor baby bird fell off from the nest on the high tree and couldn't go back. So she was raised by my mom's mom and had a very very happy long life. :)

Janie,

You have cute baby birds there. Bet the mailman was surprised.

Lyn Townsend posted a comment on my blog. She knew me when I was a pup growing up at Thornton's Wires in Clermont. She told me you were one of her rescues. Wow what a small world.
